Magic Catamaran in Fuerteventura: what €79 includes and when €99 is worthwhile

Updated October 14, 2026 · 5 min read

Catamaran sailing off the coast of southern Fuerteventura

The Magic catamaran trip from Morro Jable combines a boat outing, lunch and a possible swim stop in one booking. Its appeal is the shape of the day: you settle aboard and let the crew organise the next few hours. It is less compelling if you want a long independent swim, a quiet private deck or a landing on Isla de Lobos.

The Magic catamaran trip starts at €79 per person for four hours, with 4.4 stars from 1,710 reviews. The similarly named Magic Deluxe costs €99 for four hours. The €20 gap buys a different format, not more advertised time at sea.

What actually happens on the standard trip

The Magic Select operator page describes a departure from Morro Jable, a search for dolphins and whales and coastal time around Jandía, with a swim stop when conditions allow. Food and drinks form part of the outing. The order and route depend on the sea, so read this as the planned programme rather than a sequence fixed to the minute.

The distinction from a dedicated wildlife trip is useful. You are dividing four hours between several purposes. Wildlife watching is one part; it does not mean four hours searching for animals. Nor does a swim stop mean that most of the trip takes place at anchor.

If seeing cetaceans is your main reason to leave the harbour, compare the Morro Jable dolphin trip as well. It is listed at €49 for two hours. That is a different allocation of both time and money, and neither ticket can promise a sighting.

Lunch is included, but name the meal before choosing

The operator currently describes Mozarabic chicken with rice and vegetables, plus a vegetarian alternative. This is more informative than the generic words “food included”: someone expecting a seafood buffet or a restaurant-style menu may be imagining another product.

Tell the operator about dietary requirements during booking and have the available option confirmed. Do not treat the existence of a vegetarian dish as evidence that every allergy can be accommodated. For a child with a narrow food repertoire, finding out the actual meal is more valuable than comparing photographs of the boat.

The listed drinks include water, soft drinks, beer and wine. That does not establish every cocktail or premium drink as included. Compare what your selected ticket names, and budget separately for getting to the departure point if your booking does not include an appropriate transfer.

The €99 Deluxe option: ask what smaller means

The Magic Deluxe is listed at €99, four hours, 4.7 stars and 1,147 reviews. Its description explicitly offers a small-group catamaran and a gourmet menu. That is the meaningful reason to consider the upgrade: the passenger format and meal, not a longer duration.

For two people the starting-price difference is €40. For four tickets at the same published rate it is €80; those are comparisons of the listed per-person prices, not a family quotation. Child fares or date-specific availability can change the total.

Before spending the difference, ask how many passengers will share your departure and what seating is available. “Small group” is useful only when it corresponds to the space and atmosphere you want. It is not the same thing as a private charter, and paying more does not guarantee a motionless boat.

Why the €62 offer is not a cheaper Magic trip

The catamaran category starts at €62 in the current range, but that floor belongs to a different outing: a four-hour catamaran trip to Lobos Island with lunch and unlimited cold drinks, 4.4 stars from 246 reviews. It heads for Lobos, while the Magic trip is built around the Jandía coast.

Using €62 as the price of the Magic trip would therefore compare different routes. The catamaran selection contains different departure areas, durations and inclusions. First choose your part of Fuerteventura and the kind of afternoon you want, then compare prices inside that group.

There is also the Corralejo Lobos catamaran, tour 210330, at €75 for four hours with paella, drinks and snorkelling in its description. It is a useful northern alternative. It does not make Morro Jable expensive by €4; it starts from another part of the island and offers another route.

A four-hour trip can occupy much more of the day

Morro Jable is in the south. If you are staying around Corralejo, getting to this departure is a separate commitment, even though the booking page says four hours. Check the exact pickup area, meeting point and return arrangement before building another reservation around the cruise.

The operator advertises selected pickup points around Costa Calma, Esquinzo, Morro Jable and Jandía. That is not an island-wide hotel transfer. Give your accommodation’s name and receive a specific answer rather than assuming a resort label covers your address.

Our guide to Fuerteventura without a car explains why the starting point should be part of the choice. Saving a few euros on the ticket can disappear into the cost and inconvenience of the journey to the harbour.

When the standard trip is the wrong choice

Choose something shorter if a member of your group struggles with several hours aboard. If shade, a toilet or child-sized life jackets are essential, ask about the actual boat and available facilities; the short description does not settle those details. Operators set different age limits, stated on the individual booking page.

For seasickness or sun-protection questions, speak to a pharmacy or your child’s doctor. The travel decision is whether this route, duration and boat format suit the group. Our wind and swell guide covers the questions to ask about changes to the programme.
