Corralejo, Caleta de Fuste or Morro Jable: where should you stay?
Updated October 8, 2026 · 6 min read
For most first-time visitors who want tours: Corralejo. It has the widest choice around Lobos and the north. For families wanting a compact, central base: Caleta de Fuste. For long southern beaches and the island’s busiest dolphin departure: Morro Jable. There is no universal winner because north-to-south transfers consume the day.

Panoramic Tour
Corralejo is strongest for ferries, catamarans, food walks and northern buggy trips. Its weakness is distance from Cofete and Jandía. Caleta de Fuste sits nearer the airport and middle of the east coast; it is practical rather than dramatic. Morro Jable gives direct access to southern sea trips and Jandía, but Lobos is at the opposite end.

Tapas and Local Life Guided Tour
Do not book a cheap hotel first and solve excursions later. Check where a tour collects. The Panoramic Tour costs €65 for eight hours and fits a broad island day; the Tapas and Local Life tour costs €78 for five hours; the Corralejo food walk costs €18 for 2.5 hours. Their starting geography is part of the product.

Corralejo Walking Tour with Local Food Tastings
Stay where two of your three priority days begin. A hire car adds freedom, but it does not make the island short.
